Telehealth Blood Pressure Monitor for RPM

Wanda Health works with iBloodPressure RPM devices designed to make it easy for RPM patients to take accurate, reliable blood pressure readings, log their systolic and diastolic blood pressure on a pre-agreed schedule, and transfer readings securely to their practitioner for analysis.

This remote blood pressure monitoring device integrates automatically with the Wanda virtual care platform for convenience and uses cellular transmissions to ensure every reading is recorded without reliance on a Wi-Fi connection.

How Does The Remote Blood Pressure Monitoring Work?

Blood pressure is a key indicator in the management of countless health conditions. Taking regular, accurate readings is essential for physicians and consultants to understand how treatments or care plans are working and determine when issues such as hypertension require swift medical intervention.

Once the new RPM device reaches the patient, they receive notifications when a reading is due, and they can also receive alerts as reminders to take medication while recording blood pressure readings at home and sending these safely to their practitioner.

The iBlood Pressure system features an intuitive design that any patient can use without complex instruction manuals, integrations with other software, or set-up processes. Our pre-programmed devices are ready to use and are appropriate for all patient groups.

Applications for Telehealth Blood Pressure Monitoring

Although hypertension is one of the conditions most associated with blood pressure monitoring, medical teams need to review readings for patients with multiple other conditions, diseases, and disorders. Read more about remote monitoring of hypertension here.

In many cases, a patient with elevated blood pressure may present with another condition, commanding ongoing monitoring of their heart activity to ensure this does not develop into a more serious concern.

Comprising an all-in-one unit with a reading device and attached, comfortable cuff, the iBlood Pressure monitor is used for:

  • Care management for patients with congestive heart failure, providing advance warning when blood pressure readings indicate a potential emergency.

  • Gestational hypertension, supporting patients experiencing elevated or low blood pressure during pregnancy.

  • Obesity and weight-related condition management, ensuring that lifestyle changes or medication are having the desired impact on blood pressure.

  • Geriatric and older persons’ care, either as a routine part of an RPM service or to pre-empt possible conditions or changes to heart function that require attention.

Our virtual care platform is currently used by cardiologists, primary care medical professionals, post-treatment community care teams, physicians specializing in geriatric care, and OB/GYN practitioners supporting patients through pregnancy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the iBlood Pressure Monitor difficult to use?

No, the iBlood Pressure Monitor is intended for use straight from the box. It does not need to be set up, configured, programmed, integrated, or registered, and patients can take their blood pressure readings right away.

Every Wanda Health RPM device provides a balance between medically accurate readings and devices that are easy for patients to deploy. The iBlood Pressure Monitor has one large-scale, single-touch button a patient simply presses to take their next measurement.

The tracking data is transmitted automatically to the practitioner through a secure cellular transmission, and the patient receives a reminder the next time they are due to submit a blood pressure reading or take a prescribed medication.

Is there a guide?

We include a brief and accessible user guide for patients who have never previously used a blood pressure cuff and may, for example, need guidance on the best positioning of the cuff and on which arm to improve the quality of their readings.
